What is so important about a bus journey?? That too in south India, It is too common to use the common transport. But I recently came across something interesting. It may be its interesting as I am new to this place.
I just got into the bus and gave 10 Rs and told him ‘Intel stop’. He grabbed the money and started moving saying ‘ticket ticket’. I was waiting for the ticket for some time and then I remembered my friend’s advice not to expect ticket from conductors. But I had a bad feeling as well as some scary notion about the checking inspectors. But luckily I reached my stop and I got down.
Few days went like this. Sometimes I get ticket and sometimes not. I also lost the confidence of getting ticket. I become too familiar with the place after that if I get into the bus, I used to give the same 10Rs. But now the behavior from the conductor is different. He started giving me back 5Rs. Initially I was bit confused. Then I understood it’s my SHARE on the whole looting of the government.
So what do we do against this looting? Just go on to the streets and fight against this corruption? Will it change something? Even If we go on streets and fight against corruption, who is the target?
“WE NEED TO FIGHT AGAINST WHAT AND WHOM”
We speak all day long against the corruption of bureaucrats and politicians and we submit incorrect details on tax. Ask the printers of IT companies, they know more stories about your tax details. I am sure that there are many shop keepers who don’t even know that they are tax liable on their profit.
Let’s all forget this tax and things which is above our knowledge. Just thing of downloading the latest movies on websites, It’s really so funny and cool right?. All day long, we speak on internet about a movie which is banned and clicking ‘like’ in all posts related to the movie. But we are waiting for the good print in websites. How sweet it is.
